Richard C. Ricks

Managing Partner & CEO

Richard Ricks, founded Silver Tree Consulting & Services in April 2014. He is responsible for the company’s strategic plan, consulting partners and assuring client relationships are excellent. He is a highly accomplished information technology and services executive who has led many successful transformations. As previous CIO of Nortel Networks and president of many divisions of CSC’s commercial businesses, he is recognized for his leadership in driving business, operations, and technology transformations that deliver excellent results – True Value.

Richard led the transformation of Nortel’s information technology and services capability, which enabled tremendous growth, and he was recognized as CIO of the year for 3 consecutive years. At CSC, he brought together multiple divisions supporting 350+ accounts/customers to create a $6.5B Global Outsourcing Services (GOS) business. He also led the creation of CSC’s largest commercial outsourcing relationship with Zurich Financial Services, which transitioned over 2000 applications and infrastructure resources to global delivery centers in India, EMEA and North America. He gave birth to CSC’s web hosting business through an acquisition, which evolved in to their industry leading Cloud solution/platform.

As CEO of IT People, Richard led the transformation of the business enabling growth of 70% in revenue and 300% in profitability.  While at IT People the India deliver center achieved CMMI level 3, the managed services and consulting business became well established, and the work force solutions recruiting capability was significantly enhanced through the establishment of an India based recruiting capability.

Richard is a recognized leader in IT and Business innovation and the associated transformation that delivers True Value.

Richard received an Executive Business Diploma from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and N.C. State University Mechanical Engineering. He received post-graduate training in negotiations from Harvard Business School. Richard is very involved in the community as an elder at his local church. He is married and has a daughter.

Mark Arnold

Co-Founder & EVP, Strategic Partnerships

Mark Arnold is a visionary leader in the development, and implementation, of strategic partnerships and services offerings that are established on clearly defined business requirements. Mr. Arnold has an extensive background in all phases of the strategic alliance management, consulting, business development, sales, procurement and IT asset management in support of both large and small companies.

Prior to Silver Tree Consulting & Services Mr. Arnold was founder and principle consultant of a consulting company providing services for the development of strategic relationships, sales and marketing centered on an IT Cost Optimization model comprised of leveraged services models, IT asset management principles, vendor management and strategic partnerships.

In addition, Mr. Arnold has worked for large corporations such as CSC and Lockheed Martin in support of their respective customers, and partners, covering all verticals. He has driven several hundred million dollars’ s of cumulative savings while with CSC alone through the development of new engagement models and management of their strategic vendors such as HP, Sun (prior to Oracle acquisition of Sun) and all major Third Party Maintenance (TPM’s) Providers.

Dan Larson

COO & Portfolio Lead, Strategy Execution

Dan oversees Silver Tree’s Account and Delivery management for all client engagements, working closely with all practice and category leads, putting in place the capabilities needed for excellence in delivery and scalability.  In addition, he leads our Governance Practice. Prior to Silver Tree, Dan established CSC’s account governance framework and turned around the most challenging accounts. Dan will be responsible for assuring our best practices for Client Engagement and Account management are implemented – every client, every time. We are thrilled to have his level of attention to detail and follow through to lead our operations and governance practice.

Dan is a Results-driven executive, especially adept at transforming businesses and creating value by defining the service model, relationship model, governance model and service solution that most effectively and efficiently supports and aligns with the business drivers and business objectives. During his 30 plus years he has successfully managed major turnaround, change and transformation programs for CSC, EDS and Xerox/Conduent in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Skills foundational to Dan’s global achievements are his ability to: develop and mentor leaders and teams, create and execute a program governance and PMO structure to oversee and guide the change, play the role of lead negotiator on complex agreements and navigate the complex relationships (C-level), program/deal structure and operating models of Fortune 100 companies.

A few examples of his work includes:

  • Created and executed an improvement program for all global “troubled” accounts, resulting in a year-over-year operating income (OI) improvement in excess of $300m.
  • Responsible for a 1,000 person and $200m+/yr. agreement with a major defense contractor. Accomplishments included restructuring the contract resulting in OI improvement of more than $40m/yr., improvement of operations and service level performance.
  • Renewed the relationship and services to a major defense contractor with 1,800 support staff and $400m+/yr. revenue Developed and executed “IT to Business” alignment programs with all Business Units and the Corporate office to support the renewal effort.
  • Reengineered to profitability a Life Insurance Business Process Outsourcing business with 700 employees and annual revenues of $75m.  Developed and implemented a strategy that distributed work across multiple service locations based on complexity of work and skill level required.

Dan has exercised his skills across a variety of industries including telecommunication, manufacturing, consumer products, banking, insurance, aerospace & defense and mining.

Dan has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Oregon and lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Kathy and their children

Heidi O’Leska

CMO and Practice Lead, Branding & Marketing

Heidi O’Leska drives the marketing strategy at Silver Tree. She also leads branding & digital marketing strategies for our clients.

Heidi O’Leska worked her way up the rungs of the ladder at a marketing & design agency in San Francisco. Clients included Visa, Wells Fargo, DHL and Intuit. Moving back to the DC Metro area she worked at an agency developing brands for financial, telecommunications and technology clients. In 2004, Heidi started her own agency, Vintage Juice Brand Marketing developing distinct brands that always communicate “What’s In It For Me?” to their audience and marketing targeted to the most profitable audiences. Clients of note include Symantec, Foreground Security (now owned by Raytheon) and CorasWorks. Her “why” is to be able to help clients bear fruit in all of their marketing endeavors..

Heidi is a native of Fairfax, VA. She earned her in MBA in Marketing while living in San Francisco.  She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband Joe and her four-legged boy Luke.

Monty Morée

Vice President, Digital Enterprise

Monty Morée is a lifelong agent of change and applied technology, widely regarded as a master at executing on a vision.  He brings over 30 years of impactful organizational leadership and major program implementation experience at Fortune 500 companies, including Exxon Chemical, Nortel, and NetApp.  His experience ranges from technical (application and infrastructure support and development) to functional (program sponsorship and project management, quality assurance, training) to business (process re-engineering, account management, web content strategy), serving in a variety of leadership roles.  He has ideated and driven technology solutions across most business functions, both from the IT side and from within the business itself.  He has advocated and led numerous enterprise-level global implementations, including ERP, CRM, web portals, contact centers and other technologies.   He delivers value through the power of capable people and energized teams.

Monty holds a BS from Beloit College, an MS from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  He lives in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area and is very active with a number of non-profit organizations.

Cliff Strickland

Vice President, Technology Optimization

Cliff leads Silver Tree’s Managed Services (Applications, Infrastructure, and Cloud capabilities) working closely with clients, partners, and our practice and category leads to deliver reliable, scalable, next-generation managed services to our clients.  His focus is driving AI-centric initiatives, not only within our Intelligent Automation practice but throughout IT Service Management in order to optimize organizations and support their strategic growth initiatives.

Cliff is a creative and results oriented executive, especially adept at driving the adoption of technology driven business transformation. A career Managed Services leader, he has deep experience in designing, implementing, and delivering managed services incorporating emerging technical capability to improve service and the associated business value. During his 30 plus years he has successfully managed service delivery and transformation programs for CSC, Fujitsu, HCL, and OnX Enterprise Solutions in North America.

Skills and qualities central to Cliff’s career achievements  are his ability to: lead and mentor leaders and teams, drive creativity and accountability in the establishment and delivery of world class services collaborating with clients, partners, development and support staff to drive continuous improvement and exploit disruptive opportunities for step change improvement in both technical and business delivery.

A few examples of his work include:

  • Responsible for design, creation, and ongoing delivery of a portfolio of cloud based managed service offerings along with delivery accountability to approximately 100 US and Canadian customers.
  • .Centralized all global IT Infrastructure services of a major insurance carrier into a global shared services model.  Managed the effort from launch to final delivery resulting in more than 25% savings in operational delivery cost.
  • Led team of more than 400 staff through strategy, definition, creation and adoption of private cloud offerings for FDA regulated clients based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer survey data.  Implemented and managed IT Infrastructure for both private and shared cloud solutions into customer enterprises governed by a Hybrid IT management framework.

Cliff has experience delivering across a variety of industries including telecommunication, manufacturing, transportation, banking, insurance, aerospace & defense.

Cliff has a BA in Business with a minor in Computer Science from the North Carolina State University and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife Laura and their children.

Chris Colen

Practice Lead, Program & Project Management

Chris has delivered major business transformation programs, leveraging information technology for over 30 years at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and CAP Gemini. He has implemented and managed global assurance process for a portfolio of projects and programs in excess of $3B, as well as managed turnaround and delivery of business critical programs in excess of $800M in multiple industries, including: manufacturing, finance, insurance, banking, engineering design, and construction.

Chris achieved public, private, and global transformations, serving in leadership roles, including IT Business Transformation and Consulting, Program and Portfolio Executive, and Turnaround and Program Recovery Manager. The key to his success in transformations is his ability to identify key issues, develop programs for corrective actions; and implement, manage and track performance

Chris served as program General Manger for a $800M program in partnership with Army Materiel Command and DOD that redefined the US Army supply chain. The global logistical modernization of the world’s leading SAP transformation program resulted in improved supply, maintenance, ammunition inventory, financial management, weapons systems readiness, sustainment, and procurement planning.

His passion is guiding diverse global organizations to achieve measurable business results by incorporating sound insights and business acumen into drivers for complex business and technology change.

Chris has an MBA from South Methodist University. Certifications include: Amazon Web Services Certified Business Professional and Corporate Council Charter Member, Program Management Institute (PMI). He has received the United States DOD, White Hat Award. He is also a career mentor at Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business.

Chris lives in Charleston, SC with his wife Marilyn. They enjoy all aspects of life in the Lowcountry.

Ronald S. Serbin

Advisory Board

Mr. Serbin has 27 years of business and information technology experience, ranging from business development execution to overall direction of technology infrastructure to managing large-scale outsourcing initiatives within Fortune 500 enterprises. Mr. Serbin was the CIO of Stonewood Insurance and Director of Business Development at Stonewood Insurance a subsidiary of James River Group, where he was responsible for IT implementation and strategy for startup insurance carrier and management of independent agency network throughout southeast.   He was employed at Nortel Networks in both IT and business development roles.  Mr. Serbin is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Computer Science/ Management Science and earned his Master in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Albert J. Risdorfer

Al Risdorfer is a senior human capital executive with 30 years of experience specializing in human resource management, talent optimization and cultural alignment on a worldwide scale. He has experience in various business and organizational models ranging from Fortune 300 companies to small/mid-sized entrepreneurial organizations in varied and diverse yet largely technology-based industries. He is widely known as a thought leading, innovative, outcomes-driven talent and cultural strategist. He is expert at creating differentiated market-facing capabilities, establishing cultures of high employee and client engagement, and in developing effective leaders. He is a certified Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and holds a Bachelors degree from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and a Masters in Organization Development from Antioch University.

John Gentry

Advisory Board

John advises the Silver Tree team in strategic planning, market and sales development. John is a gifted leader and provides great insight to enable our clients, and team to think strategically about their future. He brings deep experience in technology services, strategy, consulting, software, systems integration, outsourcing, and BPO to STS.  Recently John was President of the Human Resources, Finance and Accounting BPO businesses at Xerox Services, now Conduent.  Prior to that he was the Chief Strategy Officer for Xerox.  While at CSC and at IBM John focused on business and technology consulting, helping his clients and teams achieve new levels of performance. He is very experienced with transformative programs involving business process redesign, digital transformation, technology strategy and implementation. He is familiar with general management of consulting businesses and global delivery organizations and is adept at helping his teams and clients return to a growth focus.  John is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance.

John E. Petronzi

Practice Lead, Intelligent Automation

John Petronzi is an executive with extensive experience in successfully managing technology businesses, developing business value propositions for global fortune 1000 corporations and leading teams of diverse business technology professionals to achieving challenging goals. John assists clients in executing their digital transformation strategies and automating their business processes and technology services operations.

Prior to Silver Tree, John served as account executive and client relationship executive at CSC, a global technology product and services provider, where he oversaw CSC’s business activities with several global banks. Prior to that he served as managing director of Looking Glass Technology Advisors, a professional services firm providing CIO advisory services and program management services for large, complex business technology initiatives, and as a global engagement partner and vice president of strategic engagements for Unisys corporation with responsibility for large, complex ITO and BPO outsourcing engagements.

At Electronic Data Systems (EDS) he served as executive director where he was responsible for all aspects of multiple client relationships in the New York metropolitan area generating revenues in excess of $150 million per year for EDS. EDS services for these clients included large infrastructure outsourcing contracts, complex business process outsourcing projects, systems integration assignments, applications transformation programs and strategic assessment engagements. His clients at EDS were predominantly financial services firms.

John also serves as a Board Advisor with Integral Board Group Colotraq, as a Senior Advisor for the Institute for Robotic Process Automation, and is a member of the global consulting platform known at Internal Consulting Group.

Timothy P. McNamara

Practice Lead, Major Transformation Programs

Tim McNamara is a seasoned Senior Executive with more than 40 years of success across the IT, manufacturing, aerospace, and defense industries. Tim previously led CSC’s 2nd largest client relationship, he also led all of Infrastructure Services for CSC’s North American business. Tim is responsible for leading major strategic transformation programs for our clients. Leveraging extensive experience in optimizing resources and maximizing productivity through innovative ideas resulting in increased profits and market penetration, he is a valuable asset for technology companies in need of expert guidance in the areas of business transformation, operational improvements, or change management initiatives. His broad areas of expertise include operations, divisional transformation, technology upgrades, infrastructure management, resource planning, project management, negotiations and governance.

Throughout his executive career, Tim has held leadership positions at companies including CSC, Cap Gemini America, and Mobil Oil Corporation. Recently retired from 16 years in Director and VP roles with CSC from 2000 to 2016, he concluded his run with the IT transformation specialists as Director and Global Delivery Executive for the company’s AT&T Strategic Alliance. In this role, he led a “reverse transformation” of the global outsourcing footprint by taking 2,000 employees from CSC to AT&T for end user support. The complex process required consent from labor unions and the global client base, but ultimately resulted in a large revenue boost for AT&T and significant cost savings for CSC. Previous roles centered around IT infrastructure services, where he managed groups as large as 5,000 employees with a $1.5 billion budget. This followed five years with Cap Gemini America, where he led a textbook transformation as outsource Program Director and Account Executive for Ralcorp. Here he spearheaded the spinoff of Ralcorp’s human food units from the Ralston Purina pet food division, necessitating a transformation away from the parent IT mainframe to an enterprise-wide distributed computing environment. He has also been responsible for leading a turnaround for an aerospace company’s floundering IT outsourcing business, where he developed a “people, process, and tools” strategy to swing revenue $94 million over five years from the red into the black. He earlier spent two decades with Mobil Oil, providing support and management in areas including marketing, supply chain, and information systems.

Elias VarVarezis

Practice Lead, Architecture and Microsoft Enterprise Solutions

Elias serves as Silver Tree’s Practice Lead for Microsoft Enterprise Solutions and Solutions Architecture.  Elias has over 23 years’ experience in IT architecture, solution design and enterprise transformation. He has led several teams of architects over the years as well as provides mentorship and oversight to align solution development with “Best Practices”.

Elias believes technology is only 33% of a solution. To make a solution whole requires incorporating People and Process into the solution.  This is especially true in projects that require dramatic transformations to take place, and a realignment of roles and responsibilities.  All solutions designed by the Microsoft Practice are designed with operations in mind and follow strict guidelines for transferring solution knowledge to Silver Tree’s clients.

Gary Cokins

Practice Lead, Enterprise Performance Management

Gary Cokins (Cornell University BS Industrial Engineering/Operations Research; Northwestern University Kellogg MBA) is an internationally recognized expert, speaker, and author in enterprise and corporate performance management (EPM/CPM) systems. He is the founder of Analytics-Based Performance Management LLC www.garycokins.com .

He began his career in industry with a Fortune 100 company in CFO and operations roles, followed by 15 years consulting with Deloitte, KPMG, and EDS (now part of HP). From 1997 until 2013 Gary was a Principal Consultant with SAS, a business analytics software vendor. His most recent books are Performance Management: Integrating Strategy Execution, Methodologies, Risk, and Analytics and Predictive Business Analytics.

Richard Sandler

Practice Lead, Sourcing and Contracts 

Richard was the Global Head of Contract and Commercial Management for Computer Sciences Corporation’s (CSC) 550+ Commercial and Federal contracting professionals, major deal closer, “fixer” and turnaround specialist for some of CSC’s largest managed services deals and issues.

He played a key leadership role in CSC’s recent transformation resulting in hundreds of millions in cost savings and personally led his department’s change program driving savings and efficiencies in the tens of millions.

As the Commercial lead for CSC he was personally part of and/or the corporate approver of billions of dollars in transactions for every conceivable type of transaction, especially high dollar, unique or complex deals.

Richard founded RZ Strategies Group, and now provides Contracting Operations Optimization management consulting services specializing in the development and implementation of integrated contracting operations and commercial management strategies for businesses looking to maximize efficiencies, growth and profit.  He also provides Commercial Management Strategy Development & Implementation; Complex Commercial Issue Resolution; Turnaround leadership for troubled contracts and accounts; and Large Dollar Deal and Strategic Alliance negotiations and deal closure.

Richard is a US Citizen and lives in the Washington DC metro area with his wife and three daughters.

Kurt P Schmidt, Ph.D.

Practice Lead, Lean IT / DevOps & Cloud Services

Kurt’s passion is the identification of unifying principles that provide the insights to further the reach of Lean IT in order to transform organizations.

Kurt’s experiences include implementation of business processes through enterprise software, transitioning organizations to modern software architecture, software platform modernization, cloud technology, DevOps and resiliency.

Kurt founded and developed Delphi Consultants into highly respected SAP HR consulting firm serving Disney, Halliburton, Bristol Myers Squibb, Motorola and Ogilvy and Mather achieving revenues in excess of $12M and fifty consultants. He initiated Delphi’s Java Practice in 1996 for web based application development to service general business (e.g. TIG) and software clients (e.g. i2 Technologies). He originated the development of SAP implementation methodology, Delphi Navigator, to enable junior consultants to deliver consistent and repeatable deliverables on multi-million dollar implementations with teams over 20 individuals.

Kurt successfully exited Delphi with a sale to Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Wyatt), an HR Management Consultancy. Kurt remained with Towers for 5 years as a Principal bringing the implementation of HR strategy to clients.

Exiting Towers, Kurt has focused on Product Development, including a SaaS legal case management system for solo and small law firms and a mobile application game, Rule of Words, released in Canada and Australia. He has during this time also consulted in the areas of IT transformation at major US and international firms.

Vickie Price

Practice Lead, Human Resources 

Vickie is fortunate to have been able to work in a profession that she loves for most of her adult life. Starting with her first job as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, she’s served in leadership roles, helping organizations to make the most effective use of their people.

As her career progressed, her roles and responsibilities became more complex.  Through the years, she’s held on to her passion for working with small to mid-sized organizations and helping them to create or re-tool their human resource function and strategy.  Working in several different industries helped Vickie to develop a deep understanding of business and what it takes to be successful.  Whether it was healthcare, commercial construction or financial services, she’s been able to make a positive impact on the bottom line of the organizations she served.

Although most of her jobs have been somewhat demanding, Vickie always found time to serve the community in a variety of ways.  While living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina, she held a number of leadership roles with the local Society for Human Resource Management, to include Chapter President, State Workforce Readiness Chair, and State Legislative Chair.  In 2003, she was honored with the Robert F. McLain Award for Human Resource Excellence.  After relocating to Richmond in 2006, she got involved in the Council for Human Resource Executives and is an active member of the Innsbrook Rotary Club, currently serving as the Communications Director.

Vickie received her undergraduate degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University and her M. Ed. In Counseling and Personnel from the University of Maryland. She has two grown sons, Matt, who lives in Northern California, and Kevin who resides in Richmond, VA.  Vickie is an avid runner, an average golfer, a voracious reader and a decent cook  – and she never takes herself too seriously.

Jeff Willis-Jones

Practice Lead, IT Service Management 

Jeff Willis-Jones leads our IT Service Management Practice and has a consistent track record in significantly improving operations through better IT client alignment and lower unplanned outages. Jeff’s background in project, process and IT asset management compliment his capabilities in IT Operations, providing him with the ability to quickly identified and deploy operational changes. Jeff averages a 35% reduction in all incidents and 50% reduction in major incidents across all his clients to date. 

Prior to Silver Tree Consulting & Services Mr. Willis-Jones was senior Director of Fannie Mae’s Digital Workplace where he led a successful transformation of their IT Operations. The desk-side services delivery channel was changed to a Tech Center approach reducing costs an average wait time, while significantly improving client satisfaction.

In addition, Mr. Willis-Jones served in the Air Force and has since worked for corporations such as CSC, Serco and Standards Australia in support of their respective customers; covering project, process and asset management. He has driven significant savings through streamlining delivery processes, offshoring services, both insourcing and outsourcing of IT services to maximize client business outcomes, and delivered automation and ITSM tooling integrations.

Jeff has an Engineering degree in Technology Management, a masters in Business Management, and is certified in ITIL and ISO 9001.

Patrick Savard

Practice Lead, ServiceNow IT Service Management

Patrick Savard has extensive experience in technology leadership, with strong capabilities in IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Program Management.  Patrick is expanding Silver Tree’s ITSM capabilities focusing on ServiceNow, offering solutions that integrate people and process elements with the tool.

Patrick spent over 25 years working in information technology at McGraw-Hill and CIGNA.  He established and lead a program support office for two major change efforts and service management implementations for separate IT infrastructure and operations organizations.

He started his career as an IT professional in IT financial management at CIGNA.  Patrick’s first taste of working in an operations organization was as a program lead for a major re-engineering effort to improve healthcare systems production performance at CIGNA.  This program was his introduction to IT Service Management, deploying 15 ITIL processes.  It resulted in savings of $20M while improving infrastructure availability and performance for business operations and product delivery.   Evidence of the impact on services was a data center assessment by a major IT research organization that concluded the data centers were delivering services 40% better than industry averages.

At McGraw-Hill, Patrick established and lead an IT Service Management organization.  In addition, he was program lead over a major change effort to optimize and improve systems performance from a consolidation of operations organizations.  The program resulted in over $160M of cost optimization and operational efficiencies over 5 years while managing an increase in service demand from the business of over 40%.

Most recently, as an independent consultant, he has deployed ITSM processes on ServiceNow platforms for multiple clients.

He is an Institute Fellow with the Institute for Digital Transformation.

Patrick is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM), Project Management Institute (PMI) and IT Financial Management Association (ITFM).

He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and Master of Business Administration in Managerial Finance from Drexel University.  He holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications.  In addition, Patrick is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) of the Society of Information Management.

Patrick lives in Princeton, NJ.  He has two grown children, Christie, who lives in Media, PA, and Brian who resides in Plattsburgh, NY.

 

 

 

Larry Shoup

Practice Lead, ITAM

Larry Shoup, Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and IAITAM Fellow is a seasoned executive with a diverse range of experience from founding successful start-ups to leading major functions at large multi-national corporations.  He is a recognized expert in leading software companies and information technology asset management (ITAM).

After “cutting his teeth” at Duquesne Systems, an early technology star in Pittsburgh, Larry founded and was CEO of Janus Technologies, Inc. where he led the development and marketing of Argis which was one of the first ITAM ownership repositories.  He established excellent relationships with industry analysts which to led to Argis consistently being in the Gartner leadership quadrant. After Argis was acquired by Computer Associates (CA), Larry was Vice President of Product Management for CA’s largest division.  While at CA he was named CEO of iCan, a wholly owned subsidiary of CA, when the current CEO abruptly resigned.  iCan developed, marketed and sold CA’s Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) product line. Larry’s executive experience and ITAM knowledge make him uniquely qualified to explain to executives the challenges and benefits of implementing ITAM.

Duke Ciliberto

Duke Ciliberto is an IT Account/Sales Executive with over 25 years in sales, account management and service delivery management.  A graduate of West Chester university with minors in Business and Computer Science, Mr. Ciliberto has worked in various capacities for companies such as Fiserv, Pioneer Standard, Northrop Grumman, DecisionOne and IT People.

Duke has proven experience in sales, account management and IT service operations.  With a passion for sales, technology solutions, and building key relationships at all levels within Fortune 2000 companies, Duke collaborates with major outsourcers, OEM’s, an IT partners to develop new business opportunities that bring true value to his customers and creates a winning environment for all stakeholders.

Kathy Dalton

Kathy Dalton is a respected sales executive with experience managing Alliance Partners and Global System Integrators in both the Commercial and Federal markets.  Kathy worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq Corporation and Hewlett Packard Company where she served as Alliance Business Manager for the CSC alliance relationship for over 25 years. Her role supporting CSC and their end-user clients helped her build a solid portfolio of account management skills, extensive business development capabilities, and strong customer relationships. She focuses on value propositions that address the client’s technical and organizational needs, aligns vertical and horizontal solutions to meet the desired outcome, and delivers best-in-class solutions.

Kathy holds an MBA and BBA from Abilene Christian University. She lives in Arlington, TX with her husband Jeff.

David L. Hand

As an experienced strategic account manager/consultant and sales leader, Dave’s focus at Silver Tree is on customer satisfaction and retention, ensuring the customer experience is positive and their challenges are met with world class solutions delivered by world class resources.

Dave designs and deploys high yield strategies that accelerate revenue and market share in the highly competitive I.T. industry. As an I.T sales professional for 34 years Dave has managed a diverse range of accounts from SMB to the largest global enterprise companies.  

Dave started out in Canada focused on the retail and manufacturing verticals but after joining Nortel as a global account manager he worked with Bell Canada in various roles providing services to the Ontario Government, healthcare accounts like Mount Sinai Hospital, Sunnybrooke and Toronto General as well as all the major banks, Royal Bank, Bank of Montreal, CIBC, TD, BNS and Canada Trust.

Recognized for creating positive customer and partner experiences through keen focus on customer objectives and driving towards achieving customer goals, Dave was the top global sales manager for video and mobility sales which earned him a move to big D, Dallas.  In Texas Dave was the VP Sales for Nortel’s Healthcare vertical in the central region supporting some of the top names in healthcare – Mayo Clinic, HCA Columbia, Humana, Baylor Healthcare, Baxter, Cleveland Clinic, Memorial Herman Health, MD Anderson and more. Nortel’s central region healthcare team’s focus on customer satisfaction and solution development earned them the post as the top achieving vertical team at Nortel over a two year period.  

Working with some of the largest system integrators and global accounts, Dave became Nortel’s global VP Sales for GSI’s, supporting CSC, HP, Unisys, SAIC and BT.  Dave’s collaboration with CSC’s global stakeholders to accept joint objectives and his team’s value add work on global ITO outsource bids drove significant wins and fostered a strong partnership.  Nortel’s revenue with CSC grew at 40% per year, year over year for 7 straight years to develop the CSC account into a $100M partner for Nortel working with some of the largest global accounts like Bombardier, Delphi, Sears, State Department, NSA, General Dynamics, UTC and Dupont.  

After Nortel Dave moved onto his partner CSC, as Managing Director for the Unified Communications practice to develop a partnership with Cisco.  Implementing CSC services with Cisco solutions provided growth in a new area for CSC while providing enhanced services for CSC and Cisco customers.  As VP Sales for Mitel’s Central Region, Dave was able to take his region from worst to first in leading a diverse $80M business that included direct retail, leasing, managed services, operations, engineering and channel sales.  Mitel’s central region continued to perform as Mitel’s top region until Dave also took over Mexico and Latin America and by focusing on partner value and customer needs, this region became the number 2 region at Mitel. Dave is a customer focused IT professional and his relentless pursuit of meeting customer needs is the biggest reason for his success.

Dave Hunt

Dave Hunt is a Solution Crafter that has a reputation for creating new, value-add service offerings, developing go-to-market strategies and creating ‘win-win-win’ scenarios for his customers, strategic alliance partners and overall business, too. He is a versatile senior enterprise solutions and successful business development executive well versed in the art of negotiating and delivering customized solutions “on-time, as budgeted and with no surprises”.  Primary responsibilities over the last 15 years have been to qualify, scope, close, deliver and report on the execution of services and the impact to the business. Most recently, recognized for defining, developing and delivering Dell’s Software Asset Management {SAM} and License Management as a Service Solutions {LMaaS} value-add solutions. Through the creation of a global partner delivery model, significant results were realized in terms of net-new revenue, increased market share and drastically reduced costs and liabilities with enhanced productivity for his customers.

At Provance Technologies, he facilitated a dramatic change in their go-to-market strategy by aligning with Microsoft and developing their VAR & SI Channel resulting in very competitive awards and earning Gartner “Magic Quadrant” recognition for a strategic MSP alliance partner. He scoped and closed fully-integrated asset management solutions, recaptured strategic accounts and opened the door to millions in new revenue opportunities as a result of his customer-centric consultative approach while working for CompuCom. He lead the launch of a  new managed IT services business for Comdisco that generated $25M in annual revenue and successfully spun a new Alternative Fuel Vehicle {AFV} business out of the regulated utility

Dave holds a BA in Political Science & Public Administration, Augustana College where he was awarded an internship in London, England with The World Development Movement {now known as Global Justice} and represented his class in Washington D. C. at The Symposium on the Study of the Presidency.  Additional graduate studies include Economics at Purdue University, Business Administration & HR at Saint Francis College, graduate of Ball State’s Economic Development Academy and holds ITILv3, IAITAM SAM and numerous other certifications.

Dave and his wife (a special needs behavioral therapist) live in the Chicago area are active in their church and  community. They are proud parents of three married children and blessed with four grandchildren to date.  Dave enjoys playing basketball, golf and Chicago Blues!

James Donley

Digital Media

James Donley serves as the Digital Media expert at Silver Tree Services. He works with website design, videography, custom graphics, and the integration of digital media into the Silver Tree ecosystem.

James is originally from Pennsylvania where he began working with digital media at an early age. The digital arts were part of his development at high school in Pennsylvania, college in South Florida, and even while pursuing his Masters of Divinity at Wesley Seminary at American University in Washington, DC. Throughout his education, James has expanded his digital arts portfolio to include web design, graphic design, photography, and videography.

James founded and currently leads Highland Design, a design collective creating full “web presences” for businesses in northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Previously, he worked at Inmotion Hosting as a systems administrator and WordPress designer, Wesley Seminary as a digital content administrator, and NMCI (The Navy and Marine Core Intranet) as a systems and network administrator.

Currently, James is also part of the staff at West City Fellowship where he manages digital content, volunteers, outreach, and plays electric guitar in the band.
