Janice Toney is the Practice Lead for Silver Tree’s Program and Project Management Practice. Janice has distinctive skills and demonstrated competencies in assessing Programs and PMOs for probability of success. She also has the unique ability to drive both internal and external client best practices for projects and every foundational aspect of the PMO. She helps clients establish the proper governance to dramatically improve the level of quality, articulates the specific skills required and manages the economics for success to reduce risk.

Janice develops and continuously improves project and program management methodology, principles, processes, and tools underpinning effective delivery of Silver Tree programs and projects.

Janice’s motto is “no task is too small” when it comes to delivering projects, programs and products ranging from small to very large complex enterprise-wide, high-profile initiatives. A career project profession, she has built PMOs and led projects for AOL, Charter Communications, Fannie Mae and Capital One. In the last five years, Janice branched into the non-profit sector to leverage her technical and business project/program management background to create transformational 10-year strategic plans and implementations at the National Council on Aging and National School Boards Association.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Davis in Psychology, and a Master of Planning from University of Virginia. Her “why” is to enable clients and Silver Tree to successfully deliver impactful projects and programs that make a difference. Originally from Northern California, Janice lives in Oakton, VA (Washington D.C. metro area).
